Bridge2Rwanda Scholars Program

The Scholars Program builds on Africa's strength by selecting the most talented high school graduates, helping them earn scholarships to study abroad, and equipping them to launch their careers in Africa.

SELECTION

B2R selects students from Rwanda and its neighbors – Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan.

In addition to academic performance and English language skills, B2R considers students' leadership potential, people skills, and desire to make a difference in his or her country.

LEADERSHIP
ACADEMY

For the first 16 months of the program, Scholars immerse themselves in B2R’s

rigorous Leadership Academy in Kigali

with no guarantee of being awarded a university scholarship.

The Program addresses
five primary areas

Academic
Preparation

Spiritual
Development

College
Counseling

Servant
Leadership

Community Service
& Entrepreneurship

SCHOLARSHIPS

In order to study abroad, all Bridge2Rwanda Scholars must obtain a substantial scholarship that covers all their tuition, fees and room & board – at least 90 percent of the total cost of a four-year college education. Rather than focus on individual achievement, each new cohort is challenged to work together to ensure that everyone earns a scholarship.

JUDGING BY THE QUALITY AND VARIETY OF UNIVERSITIES THAT HAVE OFFERED YOU ADMISSION, AND THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED, YOUR HARD WORK HAS CLEARLY PAID OFF. WE SEE YET AGAIN THAT AFRICA’S CHILDREN COMPETE AND SUCCEED WITH THE BEST.
