THE B2R SCHOLARS PROGRAM
builds on Africa's strength by helping the most talented high school graduates earn scholarships to study abroad and equipping them to launch their careers in Africa.
B2R selects students from Rwanda and its neighbors – Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan. In addition to academic performance and English language skills, B2R considers students’ leadership potential, people skills, and desire to make a difference in his or her country.
The B2R Scholars Program
addresses five primary areas of growth:
ACADEMIC PREPARATION
Spiritual Development
COLLEGE
COUNSELING
SERVANT
LEADERSHIP
COMMUNITY SERVICE & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
BUILDING THE BRIDGE
B2R Scholars are encouraged to become a “bridge” while they are abroad by being an advocate for their home country and by gathering a lifelong network of friends in the U.S or wherever they are.
