As the Finance Manager at Bridge2Rwanda, Jake oversees the financial operations, ensuring efficient and transparent management of resources to support our mission. His role involves financial planning, analysis, and reporting to maintain the financial health of the organization. Jake's connection to Rwanda began during his tenure at Service Over Self, Inc. where he led international trips to the country. This experience deepened his passion for Rwanda and its people, inspiring him to contribute further through his work at Bridge2Rwanda. In addition to his work, Jake loves playing with his son, Rudy. He enjoys baking bread and cooking pizza!

“Take care of your future self!” This phrase has significantly improved the decisions I’ve made in many parts of my life.

The longer we are married, the more I admire my wife, Amanda. She has the ability to humbly receive feedback better than anyone I know. She is a passionate leader who cares deeply about justice. She is a compassionate parent. She is a fierce protector. She is a good neighbor. I really like being on her team!

Learning new things! I’m a bit of a serial hobbyist and a podcast nerd.

SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ?

I’ve played wheelchair basketball since I was in high school! I was diagnosed with a disease in my back that prevented me from participating in able-bodied sports. I got to play for the University of Missouri on scholarship, and currently play for a recreational team in Memphis!
