Transforming Lives at Both Ends.

Become a Friendship Family

Friendship families are volunteers who provide social and cultural support to Scholars while they study abroad. We consider friendship families to be integral partners in our mission to prepare a generation for extraordinary lives as entrepreneurial servant leaders in Africa.

Becoming a host family for B2R has been one of the best decisions we have ever made for our family. This entire experience, and the chance to create deep, meaningful relationships with these amazing young people is one that we are eternally grateful for.
JESSICA AND DAVE WALKER
We have really enjoyed hosting a B2R Scholar in our home. While we are helping him adjust to our culture, he is teaching us about his. We love that our kids are growing up learning this first hand. He brings another level of joy and love to our home that we couldn't have found otherwise.
BEn and Sarah Jarvis
We have been blessed to host a young man from Rwanda and it has truly changed our lives! Through this organization, these students get opportunities that they would not otherwise, which leads to positive change in their lives, the lives of their families, as well as their country.

Personal Support

While Scholars live on campus, friendship families play a vital role in welcoming students to the United States and becoming a support system throughout their college experience.

Many families enjoy inviting students for a meal on occasion, asking them to join for some holiday celebrations, taking them to experience new activities, and just checking in on a regular basis.

Financial Support

If you are interested in making a donation of financial support or a physical item, such as a phone, laptop, dorm supplies for a student, a tax deduction can be given by B2R.

This is not mandatory or expected of a Friendship Family.
