B2R Farms Partners with Compassion International to Train Local Community

In June, B2R Farms partnered with Compassion International to lead a five-day Foundations for Farming training for 30 vulnerable farming families in Rusenge, one of the most food-insecure areas in Rwanda. Thanks to the generous support of Scott and Patricia Moody, couples received hands-on training in conservation agriculture, visited demonstration plots at our Land of Goshen farm, and experienced spiritual encouragement through daily worship and prayer.

The training transformed more than just farming practices. One participant shared that this was the first time he and his wife had prayed together. Another, once discouraged by illiteracy, left with renewed dignity and hope. Over the coming year, a B2R Fellow will walk alongside these families to establish demonstration farms—laying the groundwork for long-term food security and community resilience.
