Eric’s story is one of quiet strength and persistence. He grew up in a low-income family where opportunities for quality education were limited — and learning English was an uphill battle. But Eric never backed down. Through faith and relentless effort, he pushed himself to grow, turning every challenge into motivation. At Isomo, he found a deep love for philosophy. It taught him to question, to think deeply, and to believe with reason. Eric dreams of studying environmental science and health, with a minor in theology, so he can serve his community through research and care.

Peace grew up in a hardworking family that taught her the value of resilience and resourcefulness. Even when money was tight, she found creative ways to make things work. Determined to help others do the same, she started a savings club in her community, giving people a simple way to plan, save, and support one another. At Isomo, a course on climate change opened her eyes to how business and innovation can drive environmental responsibility — an idea that now fuels her dream of studying business and economics. Peace loves discussing global issues, from politics to sustainable food systems, and she’s passionate about using what she learns to create real opportunities for her community.

David has always been someone who listens deeply and learns from the people around him. One of his most defining moments came from long talks with his father, who taught him that integrity is the foundation of every good thing in life — a value that continues to shape who he is today. At Isomo, David discovered his confidence and voice through the Public Speaking class, where he learned not just to speak, but to share ideas with courage and conviction. That experience sparked a new sense of purpose and leadership. He’s passionate about data and computer science and dreams of becoming a quantum software engineer — using technology to solve big challenges.

Ange grew up in Rwanda surrounded by strong women — her mother and sisters — who taught her the value of love, resilience, and helping others. A thoughtful reader and deep thinker, she found her voice through African literature, where stories of struggle and hope helped her see that “suffering is not the end.” Now, she dreams of studying psychology to understand the human mind and help others heal. Curious, creative, and compassionate, Ange is the kind of person who listens deeply, learns constantly, and finds silver linings even in the hardest moments.
