The B2R Scholars Program begins with a rigorous gap-year (March to March) in Kigali that equips recent high school graduates to compete for international scholarships. The program is designed to create a fellowship of young African leaders prepared for extraordinary lives as entrepreneurs and servant leaders. The program addresses five primary areas:
Academic preparation – Improve English skills and admission test scores
Spiritual development – Encourage a Jesus-centered, purpose-driven life
College counseling – Navigate the global university admission process
Servanthood & entrepreneurship – Heart and mindset of effective leaders
Community service – Student-initiated projects to address real needs
The program is provided free of charge to the students. At the same time, there is no guarantee that the students will receive a scholarship to study abroad. Rather than providing scholarships, B2R prepares African students to compete with other international students for these highly valued academic opportunities.
Results for the first four classes have been excellent.
