Solange Nakure

Transition Coach

Solange is a Group 2 Bridge2Rwanda Fellow and currently serves as a part-time Scholar Transition Coach, where provides guidance to B2R Scholars starting their freshman year at university. Solange graduated from Abilene Christian
University (Class of 2017) with a bachelor’s in Biology and worked at Hendrick Medical Center in Texas as Hospital Intake Coordinator for 4 months after graduating. She moved back to Rwanda with a passion to use her knowledge to improve the country's public health. She currently works at the University of Global Health Equity as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Health Sciences.

Solange is passionate about ensuring access to improved and equitable healthcare for all. While working at UGHE, she continues her journey to improve healthcare as a One Health Fellow through Tufts University. Through this one-year fellowship program, she is acquiring skills and knowledge on the interconnections of all life forms (humans, animals, and the environment) and opportunities to conduct health related studies with the aim to attain holistic solutions for optimal health in Rwanda.
