JAMES MUYANGO

Discipleship Teacher

James teaches Discipleship and Servant Leadership to B2R Scholars during the gap-year Leadership Academy. James is the Senior Pastor of The Potter’s Hand Church in Rwanda. He is married to Sandra Umulisa who works with the Rwanda development board (RDB) and they have 5 Children.

James holds a BSc degree in Civil engineering from the University of Rwanda in the College of Science and Technology (Former KIST), He holds a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and is also currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Christian studies at the University of the Cumberlands Kentucky (USA).

As a bi-vocational minister, James worked as an Engineer on Government projects, including the Rwanda Revenue Headquarters building, worked as a consultant for the World Bank group (IFC) on the infrastructure appraisal of the border posts of the East Africa and Great Lakes region and Worked as Project Manager on private construction projects including New life High school Project, Hope Haven School (Rwanda) and others before being led by God to found and lead the Potter’s Hand Church.

He authored a book entitled “The Pathway to Destiny” and serves as well on a team of 3 Rwandan church leaders led by Rev. Antoine Rutayisire that have been commissioned by the umbrella of Rwandan churches to train church leaders in South Sudan on building Healthy Churches in collaboration with Saddleback Church.
