Our Work

Muhabura University begins the work to become the Best Business and Engineering University in Africa

“We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.” — Franklin D. Roosevelt

B2R Engagement:

Capital campaign to raise $15 million to build the Musanze campus; mobilize corporate and academic partners and “borrowed talent” to assist in building and staffing the university and its associated businesses.

The mission of Muhabura University will be to prepare talented and dedicated students for extraordinary lives as principled entrepreneurs. Students will include an equal number of men and women. The professional disciplines taught will address Rwanda’s greatest needs by offering degrees in a wide range of business and engineering fields. Graduating students will have the hands-on professional skills to provide high quality services with excellence and integrity, and are certain to be in high demand.

The 25-acre site for the University in Musanze was donated by the Government of Rwanda and will ultimately be home to 2,000 students. Muhabura will be a private, accredited Rwandan university governed by an independent Board of Trustees. Already, Muhabura has as its President and CEO Glen Woodruff, former CEO of Engineering Ministries International (www.emiusa.org). We hope to welcome the first students to Muhabura University in 2010.
