During 2008 and 2009, Bridge2Rwanda devoted significant time and resources to the initial design and planning of Muhabura University, a proposed private school in Musanze dedicated to teaching servant leadership and practical business and engineering skills. At the beginning of 2010, we concluded our work and passed responsibility for the university’s future development to its independent Board of Trustees.
We appreciate Bishop John Rucyahana giving us the opportunity to work on Muhabura University. We learned a lot about the condition and challenges of higher education in Rwanda, particularly in the critical areas of business and engineering. This experience prepared and motivated us to launch the Bridge2Rwanda Center for Entrepreneurship.
