Building Essential and Sustainable Businesses
“Rwanda wants to become the first ‘African Tiger’.” — President Paul Kagame
“Tiger” is the name given to poor countries that in one generation radically transform their economies and improve their citizens’ standard of living, e.g. “Asian Tigers” (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea) and “Celtic Tiger” (Ireland). Under its Vision 2020 National Development Plan, Rwanda committed to becoming a middle income country within 20 years. Under the leadership of President Paul Kagame, this small but determined nation is on its way.

To build businesses, Bridge2Rwanda initiates new businesses, facilitates partnerships, provides advice and mobilizes “borrowed talent”. We support Urwego Opportunity Bank and the Rwanda Develop Board and their efforts to advance economic development. We will also act in concert with Muhabura University and other partners to incubate new businesses.
