Attorneys Needed – Rwanda Ministry of Justice (MINIJUST)
Rwanda’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Tharcisse Karugarama, is seeking four U.S. attorneys to work alongside his MINIJUST staff in Kigali, reviewing contracts and drafting legislation. Ideal candidates will be licensed attorneys, hard working and humble. Excellent legal research, communication and writing skills required.
Tenure: Initial term is one year, beginning July 1, 2010. A minimum six month commitment is required.
Financial Support: The Minister of Justice reports that a monthly living stipend of $3,000 is provided, plus internet and mobile phone allowance.
Housing: The Minister of Justice reports that a house/apartment shared by the four attorneys is provided, including utilities and security.
Ground Transportation: A car and driver shared by the four attorneys is provided, including a fuel allowance.
Airfare: Is the responsibility of the U.S. attorney
Bridge2Rwanda mobilizes committed individuals to invest their talent in Rwanda. We have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MINIJUST to help identify four U.S. attorneys to fill these positions. B2R will confirm all stipends and report to those interested in this program.
