Paul Kagame Interviewed on CNN

On Sunday afternoon, July 19th, Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame appeared on CNN’s foreign affairs program, Fareed Zakaria GPS. Each week the program focuses on new ideas and innovative approaches to solving the world’s toughest problems. Airing one week after President Barrack Obama’s historic visit to Ghana, host Fareed Zakaria opened the show by stating “while Obama was smart to focus on a success story like Ghana, I would say that the biggest success story out of the continent is Rwanda”. It is now a poster child for Africa’s success.

This interview is a great example of President Kagame’s candor and his determination to make Rwanda a country whose economy and culture stand on their own merits. I admire his leadership and what the people of Rwanda are accomplishing daily.
